Protecting privacy for a normal childhood
Yami, who gave birth to her son on May 10, 2024, has maintained a private stance regarding his appearances in the media.
“You won’t see him,” she remarked, reinforcing that her son deserves a childhood free from constant scrutiny.
The actress and her husband, known for their preference for privacy, have been cautious about revealing too much about their personal lives.
In a recent interview with News18 Showsha, she confessed, “You won’t see him. I mean, that’s a very personal choice that Aditya and I have made. I think a child deserves a childhood just like every other child, free from the psychological impact of media attention. We want him to enjoy this life, to enjoy this blessing.”
Despite their efforts to maintain privacy, Aditya Dhar shared the first-ever glimpse of Vedavid on Yami’s birthday, November 28, 2024.
The Instagram post featured a candid moment of Yami playing with their son, accompanied by a heartfelt caption. While the picture was well received by fans, Yami has since reiterated that she does not plan to frequently share images or updates about her child on social media.
Motherhood and life after Vedavid
Gautam has spoken candidly about her experience as a first-time mother. The actress expressed her joy at being called “Vedavid’s mother” and acknowledged that motherhood has been a transformative journey for her.
She also praised her husband, Aditya Dhar, calling him a “hands-on father” who makes time for their child despite his busy schedule.

She explained her feelings as a new mother: “You’re nervous, there are so many things, so many factors, and at the end of the day, it’s just those big eyes staring at you, wanting love, and that’s it!”
Gautam and Dhar, who tied the knot in June 2021, have remained committed to raising their son with values rooted in tradition and privacy.
Their decision to keep him away from the media aligns with similar choices made by other celebrities who prioritize their children’s well-being over public exposure.
