MUMBAI, MAHARASHTRA: As more celebrities transition from acting to entrepreneurship, Shraddha Kapoor has made her mark with her jewelry brand,
Palmonas, launched in 2022. Known for its fashionable designs, high-quality craftsmanship, and being one of the first demi-fine jewelry brands, Palmonas quickly gained attention.

What happened to Shraddha Kapoor’s jewelry brand?
Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor’s jewellery brand has come under intense scrutiny after being accused of “blatant plagiarism.”
Several pieces from her collection have sparked a heated debate online, with users pointing out their striking resemblance to iconic designs from luxury brands.
The criticism hasn’t just come from social media users—fashion enthusiasts have also slammed the brand for allegedly copying popular designs, while others have condemned it for selling “first copies” at premium prices.

Before making her much-anticipated return to Bollywood with Ranbir Kapoor in ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar’ in 2023, Shraddha Kapoor had taken a step back from the limelight.
During this break, she followed in the footsteps of contemporaries like Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt, embarking on a new entrepreneurial journey.
Kapoor co-founded a demi-fine jewellery brand, using materials like sterling silver and stainless steel coated with 18-carat gold, positioning herself as the ‘brand visionary.’
However, her brand now finds itself embroiled in controversy, as a segment of the online community accuses it of unoriginality.
