What did Sania Mirza say about biopic?
As discussions around a potential biopic on Sania Mirza continue to grow, the tennis star recently shared her thoughts on the matter.
Speaking to Hindustan Times, Sania revealed, “The biopic has been on the cards, a lot of people have been talking about it. But I haven’t had offers of late, unless my managers have not told me about any!”
When asked about her life as a single mother, she emphasized that her son Izhaan will always be her top priority.
“No matter what I do in my life, my son Izhaan is always going to be my priority. Even amongst my professional commitments, he will remain that,” she said.
Sania also reassured that her personal life hasn’t interfered with her career, explaining, “That doesn’t mean I don’t do other things. I try to revolve my stuff around Izhaan as much as I can.”
This interview followed a heartwarming photo shared by Sania of herself with her six-year-old son, Izhaan, which reflected her ability to maintain a balanced life.
The picture was captioned, “No better way or picture to start our new year ❤️ Happy new year everyone ✨.”
She added, “I also try to not leave him too much, at max maybe one-two nights if I have to travel for work. All of it works itself out. I try to find a balance.”
Before wrapping up, she offered her thoughts on maintaining humility and staying grounded in the public eye. “Being famous or not comes with its own set of challenges. More than the pressure, I feel a sense of responsibility.”
She added, “I feel there are so many kids who look up to you, so you have a certain sense of responsibility about how you conduct yourself.”
“I try to be myself as much as I can in the public eye,” she concluded. “I feel humbled and honored to be in this position. I speak from my heart.”
Sania Mirza once revealed that she would star alongside Akshay Kumar in her biopic
Previously, in June 2024, Sania Mirza shared her thoughts on the possibility of a biopic about her life during an appearance on Netflix’s “The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show,” as per Hindustan Times.
While discussing a Bollywood film, Kapil mentioned Priyanka Chopra portraying Mary Kom in 2024 and Parineeti Chopra playing Saina in 2021.
When asked who she would like to play her on-screen, Sania humorously responded, “Are there any sisters left?”
She added, “No, I think we have many good actors in our country. Anyone is fine. Or maybe I should play myself.”
Kapil mentioned that Shah Rukh Khan had once said he would play Sania’s love interest if a biopic were made.
Sania, recently divorced from cricketer Shoaib Malik, seemed awkward before lightening the mood, saying, ‘But I need to find a love interest first.’
Kapil asked if she would star in the biopic alongside Shah Rukh.
Sania responded, “If Shah Rukh ji does the film, I might play myself. And I’ll definitely do it if Akshay Kumar is in it.”
