MUMBAI, MAHARASHTRA: Popular YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, host of ‘BeerBiceps,’ has once again avoided a police summons as Mumbai police struggle to make contact with him following his failure to appear for questioning.

Allahbadia was expected to report to Khar Police Station on Wednesday, February 14, to record his statement in connection with an ongoing investigation. However, he failed to show up for the scheduled meeting.

Ranveer Allahbadia unreachable as police teams find his flat locked

According to Mumbai Police officials, Allahbadia is currently unreachable, with his phone switched off and no communication from his side.

“Teams of the Mumbai and Assam police went to Allahbadia’s flat in Versova this morning, but found it locked. Both the police teams then returned to Khar police station,” an unidentified police official told PTI.

Despite their efforts, the authorities were unable to make any contact with Allahbadia or gather any information about his whereabouts.

Earlier, Allahbadia had requested the police to record his statement at his residence, but the request was rejected.

The police insisted he appear in person at the police station for questioning. Following his non-compliance, Allahbadia approached the Supreme Court, challenging the multiple FIRs registered against him across India.

The court is expected to hear the matter in the coming two to three days.

FIRs filed in Assam, Indore, and Mumbai against Ranveer Allahbadia

The controversy surrounding Allahbadia began after his appearance on ‘India’s Got Latent,’ where his comments led to widespread criticism.

The first FIR was filed against him in Assam on February 11. Assam’s Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took to social media to announce that the Guwahati Police had filed a complaint against Allahbadia and others, including Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani, Apoorva Mukhija, and Jaspreet Singh, for promoting obscenity and engaging in vulgar discussions.

The complaint, registered under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code, is currently under investigation.

Following the FIR in Assam, additional cases were filed in Indore and Mumbai, with the Maharashtra Cyber Cell now involved in the ongoing investigation.

Despite the legal troubles, Allahbadia issued a half-hearted apology for his controversial remarks, but the investigation continues.

As of now, Allahbadia’s whereabouts remain unclear, and authorities are continuing their efforts to make contact with him.
