MUMBAI, MAHARASHTRA: Bollywood veteran actor Anupam Kher, known for his stellar career spanning over five decades and more than 540 films, has found himself in the midst of a social media storm.
He shared an AI-generated display picture on Instagram that has left fans and netizens both bewildered and amused.

Anupam Kher’s DP shows muscular physique
The image, which shows Kher with a bodybuilder’s physique — featuring bulging biceps, a broad chest, six-pack abs, and visible veins in his muscles — has raised eyebrows.
This drastic transformation is particularly surprising given the actor’s natural build, which has remained far removed from the muscular physique depicted in the photo.
The fact that Anupam Kher, now 69 years old, has never showcased such a physique in any of his films, even during his younger years, further perplexes the image.
While Kher had previously shared that he had stepped out of his comfort zone and started working on his physique, he has never shown such a dramatic transformation, particularly not with abs as depicted in the display picture.
Adding to the confusion, the image shows a massive tattoo extending from his shoulder to his biceps — a tattoo he does not have in real life.
To make matters even more controversial, the photo features the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, one of India’s most significant religious landmarks, in the background.
In the image, Kher wears a bhagwa (saffron) stole.

The Reddit community, in particular, has been quick to mock the actor’s fake and digitally enhanced appearance.
The comment sections are flooded with jokes, with many users expressing disbelief at the discrepancy between Kher’s actual image and the one portrayed in the AI-generated photo.
