The escape and the crime

After the crime, Kumar fled to his hometown in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. Although he was initially arrested, he was later released on bail, according to News18.

Taking advantage of his release, Kumar changed his address and went into hiding, eventually being declared a proclaimed offender in 2014.

The case began in 2018 when Kumar and his brother-in-law, Bhushan Kumar Singh, planned to extort money from their coworker, Sachin.

They kidnapped him in the Baba Haridas Nagar area of Dwarka and demanded a ransom. However, when their demands were not met, they brutally killed him.

Justice after seven years

A decade of avoidance came to an end with Kumar’s arrest, bringing renewed focus to the unsolved Sachin murder case.

Authorities are now hoping for swift court proceedings so that the victim’s family can finally receive justice.

This arrest highlights law enforcement’s commitment to ensuring that no criminal can escape justice, no matter how long they try to hide.
